Miami Florida International University (FIU) Pedestrian Bridge Collapse Investigation

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) presentation will focus on the investigation into an incident that occurred on March 15, 2018, when a partially constructed pedestrian bridge crossing an eight-lane roadway in the city of Miami, Florida, experienced a catastrophic structural failure. The 174-foot-long bridge span fell about 18.5 feet. The presentation will provide a general overview of the investigation, as well as detailed findings related to the safety issue areas that were identified.
